              Versions of This Bill

TO ENACT THE SOUTH CAROLINA COLLATERAL RECOVERY ACT INCLUDING PROVISIONS TO AMEND TITLE 40, CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, RELATING TO PROFESSIONS AND OCCUPATIONS BY ADDING CHAPTER 10, SO AS TO PROVIDE FOR THE LICENSURE, REGISTRATION, AND REGULATION OF BUSINESSES AND INDIVIDUALS ENGAGED IN THE REPOSSESSION OF CERTAIN PERSONAL PROPERTY.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

SECTION    1.    Title 40 of the 1976 Code is amended by adding:

    Section 40-10-10.    This chapter may be cited as the 'South Carolina Collateral Recovery Act'.

    Section 40-10-20.    For purposes of this chapter:

SECTION    2.    This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
