A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION

SALUTING CHARLES M. JOYE II ON BEING NAMED "ENGINEER OF THE YEAR" FOR THE PIEDMONT CHAPTER OF THE SOUTH CAROLINA SOCIETY OF PROFESSIONAL ENGINEERS.

Whereas, Charles M. (Chuck) Joye II has been named "Engineer of the Year" for the Piedmont Chapter of the South Carolina Society of Professional Engineers; and

Whereas, this is the highest award the chapter can bestow on one of its members; and

Whereas, Mr. Joye is a principal of Design South Professionals, Inc., holds a B. S. degree and a master's degree from Clemson University, and is a licensed professional engineer; and

Whereas, Chuck Joye, in addition to being an outstanding engineer, is a respected civic and community leader, devoted husband, and father of two fine children; and

Whereas, we are delighted to have the opportunity to recognize Mr. Joye in this special manner. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:

That the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina, by this resolution, salutes Charles M. Joye II on being named "Engineer of the Year" for the Piedmont Chapter of the South Carolina Society of Professional Engineers.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Mr. Joye.
