A BILL

TO AMEND THE CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, RELATING TO VETERANS AFFAIRS BY ADDING SECTION 25-11-55 SO AS TO PROVIDE THAT THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY SHALL APPROPRIATE FUNDS DIRECTLY FROM THE STATE TREASURY TO EACH COUNTY TREASURER IN A MANNER TO BE PROVIDED BY LAW.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

SECTION    1.    The 1976 Code is amended by adding:

    "Section 25-11-55.    The General Assembly shall appropriate funds directly from the State Treasury to each county treasurer in a manner to be provided in the general appropriations act."

SECTION    2.    This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
