A HOUSE RESOLUTION

TO CONGRATULATE THE CHRIST CHURCH EPISCOPAL SCHOOL BOYS SOCCER TEAM FOR WINNING THE CLASS A STATE SOCCER CHAMPIONSHIP FOR THE SECOND STRAIGHT YEAR.

Whereas, the members of the House of Representatives were pleased to learn that for the second straight year the Christ Church Episcopal School boys soccer team won the State Class A championship by defeating Blackville-Hilda by a score of 4-1; and

Whereas, in the game's first twelve minutes, Christ Church scored three goals in a six minute span to all but seal the game; and

Whereas, Battan Farrar, Scott Burgess, Rhett McCraw, and Tomek Charkowski each scored one goal and Jake Hendrickson and Bobby McCall each had one assist in the championship game; and

Whereas, the Christ Church Cavaliers this season were led by their outstanding coach, David Wilcox, who has made the Cavalier soccer program one of the best in the State; and

Whereas, the performance of this wonderful group of young men this season both on and off the field has brought deserved credit and recognition not only to them but to their school and community as well; and

Whereas, the members of the House of Representatives, by this resolution, would like to publicly recognize and congratulate the Christ Church Cavaliers for winning their second straight state soccer championship. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:

That the members of the House of Representatives congratulate the Christ Church Episcopal School boys soccer team for winning the Class A state soccer championship for the second straight year.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Coach David Wilcox.
