TO PROHIBIT THE POLICE DEPARTMENT OF THE CITY OF GREENVILLE FROM ISSUING A PARKING CITATION OR OTHERWISE ENFORCE PARKING VIOLATIONS IN A PUBLIC OR PRIVATE PARKING LOT UNLESS CERTAIN SIGNS HAVE BEEN ERECTED.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
SECTION 1. Notwithstanding any other provision of law, the Police Department of the City of Greenville may not issue a parking citation, or otherwise enforce parking violations, including the towing of vehicles on public or private parking lots, unless the parking lot has conspicuously posted signs which must measure sixteen square feet on which is printed the penalties for parking violations in the lot. This sign must be visible from every parking space in the lot when all spaces in the lot are occupied.
SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
