A BILL

TO AMEND THE CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, BY ADDING SECTION 59-101-70 SO AS TO MAKE IT MANDATORY THAT STATE-SUPPORTED COLLEGES AND UNIVERSITIES PROVIDE SUFFICIENT SPACE FOR AT LEAST FIFTY STUDENTS IN EACH ACADEMIC CLASS, EXCLUSIVE OF LABS.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

SECTION 1. The 1976 Code is amended by adding:

"Section 59-101-70. All state-supported universities and colleges shall provide sufficient space for at least fifty students in each academic class, exclusive of labs."

SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
