The House assembled at 10:00 a.m.
Deliberations were opened with prayer as follows:
Eternal God Who has created, sustained and redeemed us, help us to remember that it is in You that we live, move and have our very being. Keep us ever mindful that this is our Father's world, and that You are concerned about all that takes place in it. Give Your wisdom to all who labor here that we may see far, think clearly and act wisely. Amid all the clatter in the world around, may Your still small voice be heard today and every day. Use us, then to Your glory and Name's honor both now and always. Amen.
