Deliberations were opened with prayer as follows:

O Lord God, the Source of our lives and the Giver of all blessings, we thank You for Your continued presence and unfailing guidance. Give to us the ability to hear Your voice and the willingness to follow Your beckoning. May our greatest joy and satisfaction be in serving our God as we serve mankind. Make of us a part to fashion this great State through which Your will is always done. Bless us that we may be a blessing to others. Amen.

After corrections to the Journal of the proceedings of yesterday, the SPEAKER ordered it confirmed.
