The House assembled at 10:00 a.m.
Deliberations were opened with prayer as follows:

There are many voices seeking to attract us, our Father, and many ways that lie before us and many who would force us to walk in their ways. Help us to close our ears to all save Thy voice, and walk in one way, Thy way. And even as we have differing opinions, may we have but one common desire, to do that which is right in Your eyes. Unite our hearts in mutual respect for others, in courtesy and understanding, that we may together discover the best way, that we may walk with You. Amen.

After corrections to the Journal of the proceedings of yesterday, the SPEAKER ordered it confirmed.
