TO RECOGNIZE AND CONGRATULATE REBECCA W. JOHNSON OF CLINTON ON THE OCCASION OF HER 102ND BIRTHDAY, THURSDAY, APRIL 8, 2004, AND TO WISH HER MANY ADDITIONAL BIRTHDAYS.
Whereas, born April 8, 1902, Rebecca W. Johnson is a well-loved and admired member of the Clinton community in Laurens County; and
Whereas, a lifelong member of Rockford AME Church in Mount Carmel, South Carolina, Mrs. Johnson will celebrate her 102nd birthday on Thursday, April 8, 2004; and
Whereas, having survived her husband, Archie Tucker, and two children, James and Maggie, Mrs. Johnson has lived a long and fulfilling life and has continued on when her loved ones were gone; and
Whereas, a pillar of the community and mild-mannered woman, Mrs. Rebecca W. Johnson will undoubtedly share this momentous occasion with many friends and the members of the Senate also extend best wishes to her on her 102nd birthday. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the Senate:
That the members of the Senate recognize and congratulate Rebecca W. Johnson of Clinton on the occasion of her 102nd birthday, Thursday, April 8, 2004, and wish her many additional birthdays.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Mrs. Rebecca W. Johnson of Clinton.
