VERSIONS OF THIS BILL
TO CONGRATULATE IRVIN D. PARKER UPON THE OCCASION OF HIS RETIREMENT FROM THE STATE ACCIDENT FUND AFTER TWENTY-NINE YEARS OF DEDICATED SERVICE TO THE STATE AND TO WISH HIM MUCH SUCCESS AND HAPPINESS IN ALL OF HIS FUTURE ENDEAVORS.
Whereas, Irvin D. "Pete" Parker is retiring from the State Accident Fund on June 30, 2004; and
Whereas, Mr. Parker has been the Director of the State Accident Fund since September 2, 1986; and
Whereas, as Director, Mr. Parker has been instrumental in the Agency adopting Deming's Principles of Total Quality Management; and
Whereas, prior to his employment with the State Accident Fund, Mr. Parker worked at the Attorney General's Office as Assistant Attorney General from 1967 to 1972; and
Whereas, in 1974, Mr. Parker became the first Director of the Department of Consumer Affairs until 1981; and
Whereas, the members of the General Assembly are pleased to honor Irvin D. Parker for his outstanding service to the citizens of South Carolina during the past twenty-nine years. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the Senate, the House of Representatives concurring:
That the members of the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina, by this resolution, extend their appreciation to Irvin D. Parker on the occasion of his retirement as Director of the State Accident Fund, for his many years of service to this State, and wish him much success and happiness in his future endeavors.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Irvin D. Parker.
