VERSIONS OF THIS BILL
RECOGNIZING AND COMMENDING MRS. MARY FLOYD EPPS OF RICHLAND COUNTY ON THE OCCASION OF MOTHER'S DAY FOR HER EXCEPTIONAL DEVOTION TO HER FAMILY, FRIENDS, AND CHURCH.
Whereas, Mrs. Mary Floyd Epps of Richland County is one of fraternal twins born on May 1, 1908; and
Whereas, she is the wife of the late Mr. James A. Epps, Sr., former trustee, usher, and treasurer of New Ebenezer Baptist Church; and
Whereas, together, Mr. and Mrs. Epps reared four children, one of whom preceded her in death; and
Whereas, four generations are alive today, including eleven great-grandchildren; and
Whereas, Mrs. Epps continues to be a faithful member of New Ebenezer Baptist Church, where she served diligently as Trustee's wife; and
Whereas, Mrs. Epps enjoys making quilts and excels at making biscuits and sweet potato pies from scratch; and
Whereas, she is an outstanding individual of great faith, hope, and love, who relies on the 23rd Psalm for strength; and is loved by all who know her. Mrs. Epps is highly deserving of recognition on this happy and heartfelt occasion of Mother's Day. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:
That the members of the House of Representatives of the State of South Carolina, by this resolution, recognize and commend Mrs. Mary Floyd Epps of Richland County on the occasion of Mother's Day for her exceptional devotion to her family, friends, and church.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Mrs. Mary Floyd Epps.
