VERSIONS OF THIS BILL
TO COMMEND CLESHON BESS OF LAMAR FOR HIS MANY OUTSTANDING ACADEMIC AND COMMUNITY ACCOMPLISHMENTS AS A HIGH SCHOOL STUDENT AND TO WISH HIM MUCH SUCCESS IN ALL OF HIS FUTURE ENDEAVORS.
Whereas, Cleshon Bess attends the Mayo High School for Math, Science, and Technology where he has earned many honors and awards; and
Whereas, Cleshon is vice president of the Beta Club, a member of the intramural club, a member of the 2002 Class A State Football Championship Team, and a recent inductee into the Mayo High School Hall of Fame; and
Whereas, an "A" honor roll student, he has a GPA of 3.86. He has a perfect attendance record and is a recipient of the Geometry, English, and African-American Literature awards for achieving the highest average in those classes; and
Whereas, Cleshon has received other honors and awards including the Integrity Award, P.E. Athlete of the Year, and a Wendy's High School Heisman Award nominee; and
Whereas, one of his extracurricular activities is the Knights of Pythagoras, a junior Masonic organization that advises, disciplines, and leads young males to spiritual and responsible lifestyles; and
Whereas, he is an active member of the John Wesley United Methodist Church where he takes part in the youth choir and he serves as the church groundskeeper; and
Whereas, the members of the House of Representatives are proud to recognize and honor Cleshon Bess for his many achievements throughout his high school career. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:
That the members of the House of Representatives, by this resolution, commend Cleshon Bess of Lamar for his many outstanding academic and community accomplishments as a high school student and wish him much success in all of his future endeavors.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Cleshon Bess.
