VERSIONS OF THIS BILL
TO REPEAL SECTION 4-10-70, CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, RELATING TO THE REQUIREMENT THAT REVENUE DISTRIBUTIONS TO LOCAL GOVERNMENTS PURSUANT TO THE LOCAL OPTION SALES TAX MUST NOT BE LESS THAN THE DISTRIBUTIONS RECEIVED BY THESE LOCAL GOVERNMENTS IN THE PREVIOUS FISCAL YEAR AND THE REQUIRED PROPORTIONAL REALLOCATIONS IN DISTRIBUTIONS TO MEET THIS REQUIREMENT.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
SECTION 1. Section 4-10-70 of the 1976 Code is repealed.
SECTION 2. This act takes effect July 1, 2004.
