VERSIONS OF THIS BILL
TO CONGRATULATE JAMES RADISSON DANA ON RECEIVING THE PRESTIGIOUS EAGLE SCOUT BADGE IN AUGUST OF 2003, TO COMMEND HIM FOR HIS HARD WORK, PERSEVERANCE, AND MANY ACHIEVEMENTS WHILE EARNING THE HIGHEST AWARD IN SCOUTING, AND TO WISH HIM EVERY SUCCESS IN ALL OF HIS FUTURE ENDEAVORS.
Whereas, to achieve the rank of Eagle Scout requires hard work and extreme determination, and the achievement is a great honor for those who attain it; and
Whereas, in August of 2003, James Radisson Dana and his triplet brothers, Robert Brenton Dana and Richard Payson Dana, were awarded the rank of Eagle Scout by the Boy Scouts of America, becoming the first set of triplets to receive their Eagle Scout Awards at the same time; and
Whereas, the son of Dwight and Paula Dana, Radisson is an excellent example of living the Scout Oath and Law and is a role model in his community; and
Whereas, to attain the rank of Eagle Scout, each Scout must organize a service project in his community. Radisson cleaned up an historic cemetery in Darlington County; and
Whereas, Radisson has been involved in Scouting since the third grade and has also received the Order of the Arrow; and
Whereas, a diligent and dedicated student, Radisson has just completed his first year at The Citadel; and
Whereas, the General Assembly is pleased to congratulate Radisson Dana for all the hard work and dedication he put forth to earn the highest award in scouting, and the Palmetto State is proud to call him one of its own. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:
That the members of the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina, by this resolution, congratulate James Radisson Dana on receiving the prestigious Eagle Scout Badge in August of 2003, commend him for his hard work, perseverance, and many achievements while earning the highest award in scouting, and wish him every success in all of his future endeavors.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be presented to James Radisson Dana.
