Deliberations were opened with prayer by Rev. Charles E. Seastrunk, Jr. as follows:

Our thought for today is from Psalm 20:4: "May He give you the desire of your heart and make all your plans succeed."
Let us pray. Lord God, Almighty, bid us "come." Equip us for service. Secure us for every insecure venture. Enable us to work together and support each other. Protect our men and women in the Armed Forces. Support our leaders to be wise and courageous in these times. These and all other prayers which You would have us offer, give us Your blessings. Hear our prayer, O God of might. Amen.

After corrections to the Journal of the proceedings of yesterday, the SPEAKER ordered it confirmed.

At 10:05 a.m. the House in accordance with the ruling of the SPEAKER adjourned to meet at 12:00 noon, Tuesday, April 1.
