The House assembled at 10:00 a.m.
Deliberations were opened with prayer by Rev. Charles E. Seastrunk, Jr. as follows:

Our thought for today is from Psalm 57:1: "Have mercy on me, O God, have mercy on me, for in You my soul takes refuge."
Let us pray. O Lord, who has planted the vineyard among us and gives us faithful workers. Bless each and everyone to continue to do the best we can for the good of all the people in this State. Give us good health to accomplish with courage and integrity the responsibilities given us and the talent to perform these duties. Bless and keep our President and Governor and those around them. Watch over our defenders of freedom and keep them safe. In Your name, we pray. Amen.

After corrections to the Journal of the proceedings of yesterday, the SPEAKER ordered it confirmed.
