A HOUSE RESOLUTION

TO COMMEND AND CONGRATULATE LYNN B. GAMBLE OF MANNING FOR HIS MANY YEARS OF OUTSTANDING SERVICE TO THE PEOPLE OF SOUTH CAROLINA AND THE TRAVELING PUBLIC AS A DEDICATED TROOPER AND MEMBER OF THE SOUTH CAROLINA HIGHWAY PATROL, AND TO WISH HIM AND HIS FAMILY MUCH HAPPINESS ON THE OCCASION OF HIS RETIREMENT.

Whereas, Lynn B. Gamble was born on August 1, 1946, in Sumter to Robert E. and Addie Brogdon Gamble. He was raised in Manning and graduated from Manning High School; and

Whereas, Mr. Gamble joined the South Carolina National Guard after graduating from high school and served six years before becoming a highway trooper; and

Whereas, Mr. Gamble joined the South Carolina Highway Patrol on June 10, 1973, and was assigned to patrol Georgetown County for two years before transferring to Clarendon County; and

Whereas, advancing through the ranks of the patrol as his career progressed, Trooper Gamble was promoted to Corporal in 1990 and to Sergeant in 1994. Most of his career was spent working in Clarendon County. His service to the South Carolina Highway Patrol and to the traveling public has been one of Sergeant Gamble's most enjoyable and rewarding experiences; and

Whereas, a devoted family man, Sergeant Gamble is married to Mrs. Lila Gamble and together they have four children, Michael, Brian, Marianna, and Gail, and seven grandchildren; and

Whereas, the members of the House of Representatives are pleased to honor Lynn B. Gamble for his outstanding service to the citizens of South Carolina during his thirty years as a trooper. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:

That the members of the House of Representatives, by this resolution, commend and congratulate Lynn B. Gamble of Manning for his many years of outstanding service to the people of South Carolina and the traveling public of the highways as a dedicated trooper and member of the South Carolina Highway Patrol, and wish him and his family much happiness on the occasion of his retirement.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Sergeant Lynn B. Gamble of Manning.
