A HOUSE RESOLUTION

EXTENDING THE CONGRATULATIONS OF THE MEMBERS OF THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES TO MR. AND MRS. WALTER MOSLEY, JR., OF EDGEFIELD, ON THE OCCASION OF THEIR FIFTIETH WEDDING ANNIVERSARY AND WISHING FOR THEM MANY MORE YEARS OF WEDDED BLISS AND GOOD HEALTH.

Whereas, the members of the House of Representatives take particular pleasure in noting that Mr. and Mrs. Walter Mosley, Jr., of Edgefield, on March 6, 2005, will observe their fiftieth wedding anniversary; and

Whereas, this milestone in the lives of Walter and Gertrude Moseley is a tribute to their devotion to each other, a devotion that has more than merely endured, but which in fact, has grown over the decades; and

Whereas, they take enormous pleasure in the success of their three children, Gerald, Timothy, and Edmund, and special delight in their three grandchildren; and

Whereas, Walter Mosley continues to practice his trade as an accomplished brick mason, now for more than fifty years with countless homes, businesses, monuments, and government buildings, exemplifying his mastery of his craft, and Gertrude Mosley continues her career as a licensed practical nurse, where for more than thirty years she worked at University Hospital in Augusta, Georgia, and at the Edgefield Health Care Center; and

Whereas, in a world in which an ever increasing pace of change sometimes seems to be the only constant, it is truly refreshing to be able to recognize and join in the celebration of a couple whose lives, devotion to each other and family, and work are examples of that which is the best in our society; and

Whereas, it is appropriate for members of the House of Representatives to pause in their deliberations so they may congratulate and honor this son and daughter of South Carolina on the occasion of their fiftieth wedding anniversary. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:

That by this resolution, the members of the House of Representatives extend their warmest congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Walter Mosley, Jr., of Edgefield, on the occasion of their fiftieth wedding anniversary and extend to them their best wishes for many more years of wedded bliss and good health.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Mr. and Mrs. Walter Mosley, Jr.
