AN ACT TO AMEND ACT 595 OF 1992, RELATING TO THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE EDGEFIELD COUNTY SCHOOL DISTRICT, SO AS TO REVISE THE SEVEN SINGLE-MEMBER DISTRICTS FROM WHICH THE TRUSTEES ARE ELECTED.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
Edgefield County School District Board of Trustees
SECTION 1. Section 1 of Act 595 of 1992 is amended to read:
"Section 1. The Edgefield County School District must be composed of seven single-member districts from which members of the board of trustees of the district must be elected beginning with the next general election for school trustees by the qualified electors of that district as delineated on map number S-37-00-05, maintained by the Office of Research and Statistics of the State Budget and Control Board."
Time effective
SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
Ratified the 31st day of January, 2006.
Approved the 3rd day of February, 2006.
