TO CONGRATULATE THE RIVERSIDE HIGH SCHOOL BASEBALL TEAM OF GREENVILLE ON WINNING THE CLASS AAA STATE CHAMPIONSHIP AND TO HONOR THE PLAYERS AND THEIR COACH, CHRIS BATES, ON AN EXTRAORDINARY SEASON.
Whereas, the members of the House of Representatives were pleased to learn that the Riverside High School Baseball Team won the Class AAA State Baseball Championship by shutting out Dillon High School 9-0 to sweep the best of three series; and

Whereas, Riverside scored all the runs it needed in the second inning on a run-scoring single by junior centerfielder Jake Williams and an RBI groundout by Shane Lorah. The Warriors added four runs in the fourth and three more in the sixth; and
Whereas, other outstanding contributions were made by junior right fielder Mark Santore, who scored two runs and knocked in one, and junior designated hitter Brian Fitzsimmons had three hits and drove in three runs; and
Whereas, the remaining members of the 2006 Riverside Warriors included: Walter Roberts, Sam Reese, Jarrod Watts, Nick Martin, Will Owens, Chipper Daniels, Mitchell Norris, Blake Howard, Rob Kish, Tyler Satterfield, Nate Cook, John Nester, Kevin Cantrell and Matthew Pegler; and
