The House assembled at 10:00 a.m.
Deliberations were opened with prayer by Rev. Charles E. Seastrunk, Jr. as follows:

Our thought for today is from Proverbs 15:30: "A cheerful look brings joy to the heart, and good news gives health to the bones."
Let us pray. Lord God, Heavenly Father, every day You have richly provided us with all we need for our life. Continue to bless and provide for us every needful thing. Give wisdom to carry out the duties assigned and may we do them faithfully and with eagerness to serve. Bless our Nation, President, State, Governor, leaders, staff and other workers. Protect our defenders of freedom. In Your holy name we pray. Amen.

After corrections to the Journal of the proceedings of yesterday, the SPEAKER ordered it confirmed.
