The House assembled at 10:00 a.m.
Deliberations were opened with prayer by Rev. Charles E. Seastrunk, Jr. as follows:

Our thought for today is from Jeremiah 31:3: "The Lord appeared to us in the past, saying: 'I have loved you with an everlasting love.'"
Let us pray. Dear Heavenly Father, help us to remember who You really are. Thank You for Your leading and Your guidance through the maze of our daily assignments and sometimes frustrating moments. Pump us up for continued service to those whom we serve and work with. Your direction carries us through the day. Bless our Nation, President, State, Governor and leaders. Protect our defenders of freedom as they protect us. In Your holy name we pray. Amen.

After corrections to the Journal of the proceedings of yesterday, the SPEAKER ordered it confirmed.
