The House assembled at 10:00 a.m.
Deliberations were opened with prayer by Rev. Charles E. Seastrunk, Jr., as follows:
Our thought for today is from Joel 2:28: "I will pour out my spirit on all people."
Let us pray. We give thanks to You, Heavenly Father, for the grace and blessings of this week. Refresh us this day to do the work assigned and give us the satisfaction of knowing we have given our best. Grant us a relaxing weekend and the strength to renew our bodies, minds and souls for another week. Bless our Nation, President, State, Governor, Speaker, Representatives and staff. Keep our defenders of freedom safe as they protect us. In the name of our Lord, we pray. Amen.
