EXPRESSING THE SINCERE SORROW OF THE MEMBERS OF THE SENATE AT THE PASSING OF MR. JULIAN HAROLD FOWLER OF UNION, AND EXTENDING SYMPATHY TO HIS FAMILY AND FRIENDS.
Whereas, Mr. Julian Harold Fowler of Union, South Carolina, widower of Mary Keith Gallman Fowler, died Tuesday, May 2, 2006, at his home; and
Whereas, Mr. Fowler was born December 18, 1944, in Union, South Carolina, the son of Gene Brown Fowler and the late Harold "C" Fowler; and
Whereas, Mr. Fowler graduated from Jonesville High School and Spartanburg Methodist College; and
Whereas, Mr. Fowler served as Fire Chief of the Kelly Kelton Fire Department for twenty-five years, a past President of Jonesville Elementary PTO, past President of Jonesville Jaycees, past Chairman of Administrative Board at Jonesville United Methodist Church, and a State Constable. He was also employed as a Corporal with the South Carolina State Transportation Police; and
Whereas, Mr. Fowler was a dedicated member of Jonesville Methodist Church; and
Whereas, he is survived by his mother; two daughters, Pamela Brown and Taramaria Farr; two sons, Dicky Fowler and Hal Fowler; three grandchildren, and numerous friends and fellow church members. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the Senate:
That the members of the Senate, by this resolution, express its sincere sorrow at the passing of Mr. Julian Fowler, and extend sympathy to his family and friends.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to the members of Mr. Fowler's family.
