A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION

TO HONOR AND COMMEND THE MEMBERS AND STAFF OF THE CLARENDON COUNTY CHAMBER OF COMMERCE ON THEIR MANY IMMEASURABLE CONTRIBUTIONS TO THEIR COMMUNITY AND TO THE STATE OF SOUTH CAROLINA, AND TO RECOGNIZE THE OCCASION OF THE CLARENDON COUNTY CHAMBER'S VISIT TO COLUMBIA ON FEBRUARY 28, 2007 AS CLARENDON COUNTY CHAMBER AT THE CAPITOL DAY.

Whereas, a hard-working, productive Chamber of Commerce is vital to stimulating growth in South Carolina communities; and

Whereas, Clarendon County's organization was first organized as the Clarendon County Committee and developed into the Chamber of Commerce under the leadership of Paul Floyd in 1986; and

Whereas, today, the Clarendon County Chamber of Commerce boasts over 300 members; and

Whereas, members work tirelessly to promote growth and economic development of the county they represent; and

Whereas, constantly searching for ways to improve the quality of life for the citizens they serve, the members of the Clarendon County Chamber of Commerce remain dedicated to the goals of the organization; and

Whereas, the members of the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina take great pride in honoring the Clarendon County Chamber of Commerce for the countless ways in which it gives back to the Clarendon community. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:

That the members of the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina, by this resolution, honor and commend the members and staff of the Clarendon County Chamber of Commerce on their many immeasurable contributions to their community and to the State of South Carolina, and recognize the occasion of the Clarendon County Chamber's visit to Columbia on February 28, 2007 as Clarendon County Chamber at the Capitol Day.
