A HOUSE RESOLUTION

TO CONGRATULATE AND EXTEND VERY BEST WISHES TO MRS. LEILA ANDERSON CORBETT UPON THE OCCASION OF HER RETIREMENT AFTER SIXTY-TWO YEARS OF OUTSTANDING SERVICE TO GINSBERG'S LADIES SHOPPE IN BISHOPVILLE.

Whereas, the members of the South Carolina House of Representatives note that, after more than six decades of outstanding service and at the venerable age of ninety-one, Mrs. Leila Anderson Corbett is celebrating her retirement from Ginsberg's Ladies Shoppe in Bishopville, on Friday, March 2, 2007; and

Whereas, excellent service is always to be commended, but Mrs. Corbett's active, productive service of so many years deserves special accolades; and

Whereas, the owners and staff of Ginsberg's Ladies Shoppe loving her like family, they will miss her tremendously but wish her many years of pleasure in the retirement she has so richly earned; and

Whereas, she has been blessed with two children, Spencer James Anderson and Anne Anderson Elliott, five grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren, with whom she hopes to enjoy her retirement years; and

Whereas, still vitally interested in life, Leila Anderson Corbett is an active member of Hepzibah Presbyterian Church and supports civic activities, her church, and her family, always reaching out to help others as a lifelong goal, thereby continuing to set an example of dedicated, zestful productivity for all who know her; and

Whereas, the House of Representatives is proud to honor this truly special lady at the celebration of her retirement, and the members of the House join with her family and friends in congratulating her on reaching this important milestone. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:

That the House of Representatives of the State of South Carolina, by this resolution, congratulate and extend very best wishes to Mrs. Leila Anderson Corbett upon the occasion of her retirement after sixty-two years of outstanding service to Ginsberg's Ladies Shoppe in Bishopville.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be presented to Mrs. Leila Anderson Corbett.
