VERSIONS OF THIS BILL
TO RECOGNIZE AND COMMEND THE LANDRUM HIGH SCHOOL LADY CARDINALS SOFTBALL TEAM, COACHES, AND STAFF ON THEIR OUTSTANDING SEASON.
Whereas, excellence in softball demands individual strength, agility, and skill, as well as team play and good sportsmanship; and
Whereas, using these talents and attributes, Head Coach Matt McDaniels, Assistant Coach Dina Patrick, Assistant Coach Erin McNeil, and the Lady Cardinals softball team showed fans and foes alike throughout the season that the Lady Cardinals are a force to be reckoned with; and
Whereas, this team of tenacious athletes, demonstrating both poise and class, played all the way to the 2007 Class A State Championship game and bowed only to Lake View in the final championship game, to become state runner-up; and
Whereas, to add to the luster of a stellar 24-5 season, seniors Holly Hyder and Lauren Vick were named to the All-State team and selected to play in the North-South All-Star game; and
Whereas, team members are Holly Hyder, Kansas Wofford, Brittany Mahler, Jordan Farmer, Brittany Feltman, Trish Karaiseky, Amber Connor, Alisha Belue, Jordan Corn, Brittany Bishop, Lauren Vick, Bre Cuff, Amber Gabric, Erica Doty, and Nicole Burrell; and
Whereas, the House of Representatives takes great pleasure in recognizing the young women of the Landrum High School girls softball team for leading with excellence both in the classroom and on the softball field and expects to hear of continued great achievements in the years ahead. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:
That the members of the South Carolina House of Representatives, by this resolution, recognize and commend the Landrum High School Lady Cardinals softball team, coaches, and staff on their outstanding season.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to the Landrum High School Lady Cardinals softball team and Head Coach Matt McDaniels.
