The House assembled at 10:00 a.m.
Deliberations were opened with prayer by Rev. Charles E. Seastrunk, Jr., as follows:

Our thought for today is from I Kings 17:15: "She as well as he and her household ate for many days."
Let us pray. Our Heavenly Father, for the many blessings and good living You have given us, we give thanks. For the privilege of work and the relationships in the place we are grateful. Continue to use us as people who make a difference in the lives of others. Thanks Lord, for the people You put in my life. Bless our Nation, President, State, Governor, Speaker and all who serve in government. Protect our defenders of freedom at home and abroad as they protect us. In the name of our Lord. Amen.

Pursuant to Rule 6.3, the House of Representatives was led in the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America by the SPEAKER.

After corrections to the Journal of the proceedings of yesterday, the SPEAKER ordered it confirmed.
