The House assembled at 10:00 a.m.
Deliberations were opened with prayer by Rev. Charles E. Seastrunk, Jr., as follows:

Our thought for today is from Psalm 34:1: "His praise shall continually be in my mouth."
Let us pray. Eternal God, let my life be lived as a thank you to You. Help us to choose words that have great power and praise for those we work with. May we join the Psalmist and have the praise of God continually in our mouths. Thank You for the privilege of work. Give us a period of rest from our labors and refresh us for another week. Bless our Nation, President, State, Governor, Speaker and all who labor in government. Protect our defenders of freedom as they protect us. In the name of our Lord. Amen.

After corrections to the Journal of the proceedings of yesterday, the SPEAKER ordered it confirmed.
