Indicates New Matter

The House assembled at 10:00 a.m.
Deliberations were opened with prayer by Rev. Charles E. Seastrunk, Jr., as follows:

Our thought for today is from Job 28:12: "Where shall wisdom be found?"
Let us pray. Lord, help us to let go of the trivial and cling to the real pursuits of life. All of our own attempts to find the full meaning of life are a waste of time. Help us to remember that Your wisdom, O Lord, has already found us. As broken as we are, we lean on Your love to mend us. Give us rest and renew our strength. Bless our Nation, President, State, Governor, Speaker, this Honorable Assembly, and all who serve in these Halls of Government. Protect our defenders of freedom at home and abroad as they protect us. Hear us as we pray. Amen.

After corrections to the Journal of the proceedings of yesterday, the SPEAKER ordered it confirmed.
