A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION

TO CONGRATULATE MR. ROBERT "BOB" BROWN, OF SPARTANBURG COUNTY, UPON THE OCCASION OF HIS RETIREMENT AFTER MORE THAN FIFTY YEARS AS A CATTLE AUCTIONEER, AND TO EXTEND BEST WISHES FOR MANY YEARS OF HEALTH AND HAPPINESS TO COME.

Whereas, the General Assembly notes that Mr. Robert "Bob" Brown, of Spartanburg County, has recently retired after more than fifty years as a cattle auctioneer; and

Whereas, following service as a pilot in the Korean War, Bob Brown assumed his duties as an auctioneer at livestock auctions, also being the owner of his own livestock auction company; and

Whereas, having given dedicated service to the cattle industry in South Carolina for more than half a century, Bob Brown has earned a restful retirement. He considers one of his crowning achievements as having had the good sense to marry his beloved wife, Patsy, with whom he plans to enjoy the more leisurely days ahead at their home in Pauline. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:

That the members of the South Carolina General Assembly, by this resolution, congratulate Mr. Robert "Bob" Brown, of Spartanburg County, upon the occasion of his retirement after more than fifty years as a cattle auctioneer, and extend best wishes for many years of health and happiness to come.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Mr. Robert Brown.
