A SENATE RESOLUTION

TO THANK BETHANY FIELD FOR HER YEARS OF SERVICE TO THE SENATE AND THE PEOPLE OF SOUTH CAROLINA AND EXPRESS APPRECIATION FOR ALL HER WONDERFUL EFFORTS AND, WITH PRIDE IN HER ACCOMPLISHMENTS, WISH HER WELL AS SHE LEAVES TO PURSUE HER MASTER'S DEGREE AT GEORGE WASHINGTON UNIVERSITY.

Whereas, Bethany Field joined the Office of Senate Research in 2005 to begin her first job after graduating from Furman University; and

Whereas, Beth immediately threw herself into the position of Legislative Assistant with a degree of enthusiasm and professionalism that demonstrated a level of maturity far beyond her years, with her friendly attitude and pleasant personality quickly endearing her to so many; and

Whereas, while serving in the position of Legislative Assistant, Beth quickly mastered the complicated processes associated with serving as the primary proof reader for Senate Research, over her tenure meticulously pouring through countless pieces of legislation; and

Whereas, primarily through her efforts, Senate Research has been able to maintain a consistently high level of work product that her staff superiors and members of the Senate expect and deserve; and

Whereas, Beth not only served as proof reader, but also as the primary drafter of both Senate and Concurrent Congratulatory Resolutions, producing countless resolutions recognizing sports championships, major birthdays, anniversaries, and numerous other significant occasions, to ensure that these accomplishments and milestones were honored with the degree of eloquence and respect that they deserved; and

Whereas, the staff and members of the Senate were saddened to learn that Beth will be leaving her position to pursue a Master's Degree in Political Management at George Washington University; and

Whereas, although her talent and skills will be missed, we are pleased to know that Beth's pursuit of further education will only exponentially increase her already significant potential and further cement the certainty of a bright and extremely successful future. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the Senate:

That the members of the Senate thank Bethany Field for her years of service to the Senate and the people of South Carolina and express appreciation for all her wonderful efforts and, with pride in her accomplishments, wish her well as she leaves to pursue her Master's Degree at George Washington University.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forward to Bethany Field.
