A BILL

TO AMEND THE CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, BY ADDING SECTION 10-1-155 SO AS TO REQUIRE THAT THE UNITED STATES MARINE CORPS' FLAG BE FLOWN ATOP THE DOME OF THE STATE HOUSE ON NOVEMBER TENTH OF EACH YEAR, THE ANNIVERSARY OF THE DATE THE MARINE CORPS WAS FOUNDED.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

SECTION    1.    Chapter 1, Title 10 of the 1976 Code is amended by adding:

"Section 10-1-155.    The United States Marine Corps' Flag must be flown atop the dome of the State House on November tenth each year, the anniversary of the date the Marine Corps was founded."

SECTION    2.    This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
