A BILL

TO AMEND THE CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, BY REPEALING SECTION 12-36-2610 RELATING TO THE DISCOUNT ALLOWED FOR THE TIMELY PAYMENT OF SALES AND USE TAXES.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

SECTION    1.    Section 12-36-2610 of the 1976 Code is repealed.

SECTION    2.    This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor and applies for sales and use taxes due and payable for months beginning after June 2010.
