The House assembled at 10:00 a.m.
Deliberations were opened with prayer by Rev. Charles E. Seastrunk, Jr., as follows:
Our thought for today is from Psalm 135:1-2: "Praise the Lord, you in the courts of the house of our God."
Let us pray. Loving and gracious God, You have called each of us to work in the courts of the Lord; this House, this responsibility, in this day. Give us the wisdom, courage, integrity, and strength to carry our part of the job to be done. Grant us a restful weekend that we may return refreshed and ready to perform the duties required of us. Bless our Nation, President, State, Governor, Speaker, and all who serve in these Halls of Government. Protect our defenders of freedom at home and abroad as they protect us. Hear us, O Lord, as we pray. Amen.
The following Bill was taken up, read the third time, and ordered sent to the Senate:
H. 3316 (Word version) -- Reps. J. R. Smith, T. R. Young, D. C.
