VERSIONS OF THIS BILL
TO CONGRATULATE THE A.C. FLORA HIGH SCHOOL BASEBALL TEAM FOR WINNING THE 2012 CLASS AAA STATE CHAMPIONSHIP TITLE.
Whereas, the A.C. Flora High School baseball team, well prepared for the challenge, rolled past Fort Mill in convincing fashion to a final score of 13-6, a performance that netted Flora the 2012 Class AAA State Championship title; and
Whereas, played on Wednesday, May 16, 2012, the title game took place at Fort Mill and left jubilant Falcon fans feeling they'd gotten their ticket's worth of excitement in full measure; and
Whereas, Flora's Coach Andy Hallett, with the able assistance of fellow coaches Casey Waites, Daniel Gordon, Chris Braciszewski, Ryan Poole, Chachare Freeman, and Larry Love, built his program into championship caliber and plans to keep it that way; and
Whereas, in a clear demonstration that their disciplined hard work was put in to some purpose, the Falcons made it their third state-title win in baseball in eleven years; and
Whereas, the Falcons did not fail of their early-season promise; they started the year ranked as number one in Class AAA and stayed on top the entire season, finishing with a 25-7 record; and
Whereas, the Falcons have brought great pride and recognition to their school and community, and the Senate is pleased to have this opportunity to recognize such a talented group of young men. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the Senate:
That the members of the South Carolina Senate, by this resolution, congratulate the A.C. Flora High School baseball team for winning the 2012 Class AAA State Championship title.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be provided to Principal Richard McClure and Coach Andy Hallett of A.C. Flora High School.
