TO RECOGNIZE AND COMMEND PURE-N-HEART KIDS ON THE OCCASION OF ITS CD RELEASE AND DVD PREMIERE RED CARPET EVENT, TO BE HELD ON JUNE 16, 2012, AND TO THANK THE ORGANIZATION FOR ITS NINE YEARS OF CHANGING THE LIVES OF YOUTH THROUGH KINGDOM PRAISE MUSIC.

Whereas, the South Carolina Senate is pleased to learn that Pure-N-Heart Kids will celebrate its CD Release and DVD Premiere Red Carpet Event on June 16, 2012; and

Whereas, beginning with one child in 2003, Pure-N-Heart Kids launched its ministry in the South Carolina Upstate. It has since expanded and now includes more than four hundred children and teens in neighboring cities; and

Whereas, the organization initially was established to teach children ages five through twelve to share the Gospel; to promote discipline, unity, and positive attitudes and relationships; and to usher in God's presence through the songs learned at music workshops and rehearsals; and

Whereas, through various workshops, concerts, rehearsals, and live music recordings, Pure-N-Heart has established and maintained a consistent presence in the community for the past nine years. Aware of a growing need for positive youth and children's music in churches and the community, Pure-N-Heart Kids is filling a need by staying true to its goal to gather youth together to sing, produce, and release positive music; and

Whereas, the organization's directors and volunteers take advantage of every rehearsal, concert, and workshop to teach and admonish the children to have pure hearts, which means they will strive to have positive attitudes and relationships, obey their parents, say no to drugs, choose good friends, and profess that they will not become negative statistics; and

Whereas, Pure-N-Heart Kids hopes to be remembered for more than awards and accolades and music listened to around the world; it desires to be known for challenging the negative world culture and pulling youth out of a cultural burning building; and

Whereas, grateful for Pure-N-Heart Kids' commitment to its important ministry, the Senate takes great pleasure in saluting the organization for its longtime positive impact on youth through Gospel music and teaching. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the Senate:

That the members of the South Carolina Senate, by this resolution, recognize and commend Pure-N-Heart Kids on the occasion of its CD Release and DVD Premiere Red Carpet Event, to be held on June 16, 2012, and thank the organization for its nine years of changing the lives of youth through Kingdom praise music.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be provided to Pure-N-Heart Kids.
