A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION

TO CONGRATULATE THE SAGE AUTOMOTIVE INTERIORS SHARON PLANT IN ABBEVILLE ON RECEIVING THE SOUTH CAROLINA DEPARTMENT OF LABOR, LICENSING AND REGULATION'S "MILLIONS SAFE WORKED HOURS" AWARD.

Whereas, the South Carolina General Assembly is pleased to learn that the Sage Automotive Interiors Sharon plant in Abbeville has received the "Millions Safe Worked Hours" award, given by the South Carolina Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation; and

Whereas, the award recognizes plants in the Palmetto State that have reached at least one million hours without incident or injury. According to state officials, the award is earned by less than one percent of all manufacturers in South Carolina; and

Whereas, Sage Automotive Interiors, one of the world's leading providers of automotive seating, door-panel surfaces, and headliners to original-equipment manufacturers, has maintained a safe and incident-free plant environment in its Sharon plant for fifteen years, more than nine million hours, which only a select few plants accomplish; and

Whereas, rightly proud of the achievement, company officials say Sage research analysts have not found any other manufacturing location that can boast of such a long period of time without a recordable incident; and

Whereas, appreciative that Sage Automotive Interiors makes the safety of its employees a top priority, the General Assembly takes great pleasure in saluting the company on receiving this notable honor, the "Millions Safe Worked Hours" award. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:

That the members of the South Carolina General Assembly, by this resolution, congratulate the Sage Automotive Interiors Sharon plant in Abbeville on receiving the South Carolina Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation's "Millions Safe Worked Hours" award.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be provided to Sage Automotive Interiors.
