A HOUSE RESOLUTION

TO EXPRESS THE PROFOUND SORROW OF THE MEMBERS OF THE SOUTH CAROLINA HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES, UPON THE PASSING OF LINDA RUTH BELLAMY BOYD OF HORRY COUNTY, AND TO EXTEND THEIR DEEPEST SYMPATHY TO HER LARGE AND LOVING FAMILY AND HER MANY FRIENDS.

Whereas, the members of the South Carolina House of Representatives were saddened to learn of the death of Linda Ruth Bellamy Boyd at the age of 69 on July 24, 2013; and

Whereas, born in Longs on April 17, 1944, she was the daughter of the late Cecile Williams Bellamy and the late Leon Homer Bellamy; and

Whereas, retired from BB&T, Linda Boyd was a lifelong servant of her Lord and a devoted member of Buck Creek Baptist Church; and

Whereas, together with her beloved husband of forty-six years, Robert L. Boyd, she reared two fine children: her son, Toby Boyd, and her daughter, Terri Boyd Bunch, who blessed them with three loving grandsons: Eric Boyd and Collin and Payton Bunch; and

Whereas, she had recently received her fifty-year membership pin and certificate with the Loris Chapter #106, Order of the Eastern Star, where she served as the treasurer for thirty-one years; and

Whereas, the members of the South Carolina House of Representatives are grateful for the life and legacy of Linda Boyd and for the example of sacrifice and kindness she set for all who knew her. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:

That the members of the South Carolina House of Representatives, by this resolution, express their profound sorrow, upon the passing of Linda Ruth Bellamy Boyd of Horry County, and extend their deepest sympathy to her large and loving family and her many friends.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be provided to the family of Linda Ruth Bellamy Boyd.
