VERSIONS OF THIS BILL
TO RECOGNIZE AND COMMEND ALPHA & OMEGA BIBLE COLLEGE OF NORTH CHARLESTON FOR ITS SIXTEEN YEARS OF EQUIPPING STUDENTS FOR CHRISTIAN MINISTRY AND TO WISH THE COLLEGE GOD'S RICHEST BLESSINGS AS ITS PEOPLE CONTINUE TO SERVE THE LORD.
Whereas, established in 1998, Alpha & Omega Bible College came to birth through the visionary leadership of Dr. Paul Johnson II, now dean and chancellor of the college; and
Whereas, the Bible College took many long years of research and planning by Dr. Johnson and just two years after its establishment, Dr. Johnson received another Doctorate in Theology from the Jacksonville Theological Seminary in 2000; and
Whereas, Dr. Johnson is also the founder and pastor of Faith Tabernacle of Jesus Christ Ministry in North Charleston; and
Whereas, Alpha & Omega Bible College, located in the heart of North Charleston, seeks to fulfill its mission to educate and equip Bible-believing students for lifelong Christian service in a variety of global contexts. To this end, students are trained in ministry, evangelism, administration, church growth, hermeneutics, theology, biblical studies, homiletics, worship, and education; and
Whereas, in order to achieve its mission, the college has brought together a biblically and evangelically committed faculty with strong dedication to the pursuit of excellence in teaching and personal desire for continuing education and research. The college also seeks to foster a dependence on God through Jesus Christ; and
Whereas, Alpha & Omega Bible College, which has sent forth into the world more than one hundred graduates, offers two degree programs, bachelor of theology and associate of Bible studies; and
Whereas, the House of Representatives, cognizant of the school's many years of spiritual nourishment of the people of South Carolina, takes great pleasure in expressing grateful thanks to Alpha & Omega Bible College and in wishing the school God's best as its faculty, staff, and students continue to run the race the Lord has set before them. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:
That the members of the South Carolina House of Representatives, by this resolution, recognize and commend Alpha & Omega Bible College of North Charleston for its sixteen years of equipping students for Christian ministry and wish the college God's richest blessings as its people continue to serve the Lord.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be provided to Dr. Paul Johnson II for Alpha & Omega Bible College.
