VERSIONS OF THIS BILL
TO EXPRESS THE PROFOUND SORROW OF THE MEMBERS OF THE SOUTH CAROLINA HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES UPON THE DEATH OF CERICA DAVITTA FELDER OF ROWESVILLE AND TO EXTEND THE DEEPEST SYMPATHY TO HER FAMILY AND MANY FRIENDS.
Whereas, the members of the South Carolina House of Representatives were deeply saddened to learn of the death of Cerica DaVitta Felder of Rowesville, better known at "CeCe", taken on April 5, 2013, at the young age of twenty through a tragic traffic accident; and
Whereas, born on August 26, 1992, to Emma Felder and the late David James Felder (who joined CeCe in death), CeCe graduated from Rowesville's Bethune-Bowman High School and was a freshman at Orangeburg-Calhoun Technical College, majoring in early childhood education; and
Whereas, a young woman of faith, she was a member of Beulah Refuge Tabernacle, where she actively participated in the tabernacle's Youth Department; and
Whereas, as many of those who knew her saw, this creative young woman loved to do hair, clown around with her jokes, and bake her famous "funfetti" cake; and
Whereas, CeCe always had a cheerful smile on her face, and her great-hearted, generous character was manifested in her willingness to render help wherever she could; and
Whereas, Cerica Felder leaves to cherish her memory her mother, Emma Felder; a brother, Cordell; three sisters, Najah, LaGwenda, and Naseema; and a host of other family members and friends. She will be missed. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:
That the members of the South Carolina House of Representatives, by this resolution, express their profound sorrow upon the death of Cerica DaVitta Felder of Rowesville and extend the deepest sympathy to her family and many friends.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be provided to Mrs. Emma Felder for the family.
