A HOUSE RESOLUTION

TO EXPRESS THE PROFOUND SORROW OF THE MEMBERS OF THE SOUTH CAROLINA HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES UPON THE DEATH OF EMORY HAYES BEDENBAUGH OF BISHOPVILLE AND TO EXTEND THE DEEPEST SYMPATHY TO HIS FAMILY AND MANY FRIENDS.

Whereas, the members of the South Carolina House of Representatives were deeply saddened to learn of the death of Emory Hayes Bedenbaugh of Bishopville on June 7, 2013, at the venerable age of eighty-four; and

Whereas, born in Newberry, he was a son of Aldon Eugene Bedenbaugh and Ida Mae Hayes Bedenbaugh; and

Whereas, the retired owner and operator of WAGS Radio, Mr. Bedenbaugh served his Lord as a member of Bethlehem United Methodist Church and was a retired member of the Lee County Development Board; and

Whereas, preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Jane Balcomb Bedenbaugh, he leaves to cherish his memory his five children, Mike Bedenbaugh (Mitzi) of Bishopville, Tracey Bedenbaugh of Bishopville, Cathy Ballentine (Steve) of Mount Pleasant, Tony Bedenbaugh (Laura) of Irmo, and Todd Bedenbaugh (Beth) of Chapin; twelve grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends. He will be missed. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:

That the members of the South Carolina House of Representatives, by this resolution, express the profound sorrow of the members of the South Carolina House of Representatives upon the death of Emory Hayes Bedenbaugh of Bishopville and extend the deepest sympathy to his family and many friends.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be provided to Mike Bedenbaugh for the family.
