THE COMMITTEE ON TRANSPORTATION

To whom was referred a Concurrent Resolution (H. 4397) to request that the Department of Transportation name the intersection located at the junction of South Carolina Highways 187 and 24 in Anderson County, etc., respectfully

REPORT:

That they have duly and carefully considered the same and recommend that the same do pass:

A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION

TO REQUEST THAT THE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION NAME THE INTERSECTION LOCATED AT THE JUNCTION OF SOUTH CAROLINA HIGHWAYS 187 AND 24 IN ANDERSON COUNTY "PORTMAN SHOALS INTERSECTION" AND ERECT APPROPRIATE MARKERS OR SIGNS AT THIS INTERSECTION THAT CONTAIN THE WORDS "PORTMAN SHOALS INTERSECTION".

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:

That the members of the General Assembly request that the Department of Transportation name the intersection located at the junction of South Carolina Highways 187 and 24 in Anderson County "Portman Shoals Intersection" and erect appropriate markers or signs at this intersection that contain the words "Portman Shoals Intersection".

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to the Department of Transportation.
