TO AMEND SECTION 59-112-20 OF THE 1976 CODE, RELATING TO RATES OF TUITION AND FEES TO BE PAID BY STUDENTS ENTERING OR ATTENDING STATE INSTITUTIONS, TO PROVIDE FOR IN-STATE TUITION RATES TO ELIGIBLE PERSONS FUNDING THEIR POST-SECONDARY EDUCATION OR TRAINING WITH THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF VETERANS AFFAIRS GI BILL.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
SECTION 1. Chapter 112, Title 59 of the 1976 Code is amended by adding at the end:
"F. Independent or eligible dependent persons who use any form of the U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs GI Bill in any way to fund their post-secondary education or training are eligible for in-state tuition rates."
SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
