A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION

TO SALUTE THE CHESNEE HIGH SCHOOL COMPETITIVE CHEER TEAM, COACHES, AND SCHOOL OFFICIALS FOR A SUPERLATIVE SEASON AND TO HONOR THEM FOR WINNING THE CLASS AA STATE CHAMPIONSHIP TITLE.

Whereas, to no one's surprise, the Chesnee High School competitive cheer team once again showed its championship caliber at the state competition and took home the title trophy; and

Whereas, an exultant cheering section supported the team, and the team in return gave its fans something to cheer about: a fantastic show that enthralled the entire crowd and deservedly earned the top prize; and

Whereas, the win gave Coach Allie Tyner, Assistant Coach Emily Blanton, and their well-trained athletes several other things to cheer about besides a new title, among them back-to-back undefeated seasons and the South Carolina State Cheerleader of the Year award; and

Whereas, this newest championship delivered a third straight title to Chesnee, a state of affairs that may necessitate the construction of a new trophy case to house all the honors the competitive cheer team continues to accumulate; and

Whereas, the price of the win was a dedication that demanded regular, disciplined practice. The team and its coaches counted the chance at another title worth the necessary labor; and

Whereas, team members are Kinsley Allaire, Aly Barfoot, Haley Bowen, Ravyn Burgos, Christian     Chesney, Bethanie Dalton, Rose Gipson, Sarah Hancock, Maci Hollifield, Alyssa Lamb, Grace Lowe, Megan Owens, Lexus Price, A'Miracle Scott, Makayla Scruggs, Lauren Thompson, Gracie Thompson, Brianna Wilson, Lexis Horne, Breanna Cromer, Tori Cash, Mackenzi Scruggs, Mackenzie Fogle, and Lexis Bray; and

Whereas, proud of the consummate grace, skill, commitment, and sportsmanship consistently displayed by the members of the Chesnee High School competitive cheer team, the South Carolina General Assembly takes great pleasure in commending them for their latest achievement. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the Senate, the House of Representatives concurring:

That the members of the South Carolina General Assembly, by this resolution, salute the Chesnee High School competitive cheer team, coaches, and school officials for a superlative season and honor them for winning the Class AA State Championship title.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be presented to Principal Tom Ezell and Coach Allie Tyner of Chesnee High School.
