A HOUSE RESOLUTION

TO CONGRATULATE REVIRA "REVA" BRENNAN, CAE, IOM, OF IRMO, UPON BEING CHOSEN AS THE 2015 ASSOCIATION EXECUTIVE OF THE YEAR BY THE SOUTH CAROLINA SOCIETY OF ASSOCIATION EXECUTIVES.

Whereas, Revira "Reva" Brennan, CAE, IOM, of Irmo, has been selected as the 2015 Association Executive of the Year by the South Carolina Society of Association Executives; and

Whereas, in being so chosen, Ms. Brennan has received the top honor of her profession, bestowed upon only thirty association executives since 1985; and

Whereas, Ms. Brennan has brought positive professional attention to herself and to the profession of association management on a statewide and national basis by serving on numerous committees and as the president of the South Carolina Society of Association Executives, and she is recognized for her accomplishments and dedication to professional growth; and

Whereas, she has provided leadership to the certified public accounting industry and the membership of the South Carolina Association of CPAs as its COO for the past three years and as a staff member for more than fourteen years; and

Whereas, Ms. Brennan has demonstrated success not only within the association management profession, but also as a community leader, currently serving as the treasurer of the South Carolina Chamber of Commerce Diversity Council, vice president of Public Relations for the Lexington County Toastmasters, a tutor with the United Way Midlands Reading Consortium, and Children's Ministry leader for Fresh Church; and

Whereas, she has served with the highest standards of work ethic, care, and concern for the membership and staff of her association and is a dedicated professional and outstanding individual deserving of this recognition. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:

That the House of Representatives of the State of South Carolina, by this resolution, congratulates Revira "Reva" Brennan, CAE, IOM, of Irmo, upon being chosen as the 2015 Association Executive of the Year by the South Carolina Society of Association Executives.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Reva Brennan, CAE, IOM.
