Programs include Books for 2 (summer reading books donated to second graders in Richland School District Two), The Amazing Race of Blythewood-Northeast Columbia (day of random acts of kindness), ASCEND (mentoring program for Richland Two high school students), and 1908 Playground Mobilization (assistance with upgrades to Blythewood Park), among other efforts. Results have been far-reaching; and
Whereas, the group's unrelenting commitment to the community has earned BIL its status as a new AKA graduate chapter, and its fine service will be recognized by AKA as the sorority's South Atlantic Regional Director, Mrs. Sharon Brown Harriott, officiates at the chartering celebration; and
Whereas, the House of Representatives is grateful for the dedicated service of Blythewood Ivy League and the members take much pleasure in saluting the group as it continues its service as AKA's newest graduate chapter. Now, therefore,
