VERSIONS OF THIS BILL
TO RECOGNIZE AND HONOR MCDONALD ELEMENTARY SCHOOL OF GEORGETOWN COUNTY FOR ITS COMMENDABLE STANDARDS IN EDUCATION AND TO CONGRATULATE THE STUDENTS, PARENTS, FACULTY, STAFF, AND ADMINISTRATION ON THE SCHOOL'S VARIOUS AWARDS FOR THE 2016-2017 SCHOOL YEAR.
Whereas, McDonald Elementary School was the winner of the "Read Your Way to the Big Game" Reading Contest and boasted winners of the Georgetown County Tech Fair Class Project and of the Georgetown County Superintendent Art Awards. The school had a finalist for the Georgetown County Support Staff of the Year Award, and the school's STEP Team organized and participated in community events; and
Whereas, thanks to the combined efforts of students, parents, faculty, staff, and administration, McDonald Elementary School has captured these awards, demonstrating what can be accomplished when all stakeholders have high expectations and strive to help students reach the full measure of their talents and skills; and
Whereas, fully expecting continued academic excellence from this standout school, Representative Carl Anderson of House District 103 is pleased to recognize the fine educational achievements of McDonald Elementary School for the 2016-2017 school year at the ceremony he is sponsoring in Georgetown on May 4, 2017. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:
That the members of the South Carolina House of Representatives, by this resolution, recognize and honor McDonald Elementary School of Georgetown County for its commendable standards in education and congratulate the students, parents, faculty, staff, and administration on the school's various awards for the 2016-2017 school year.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be presented to representatives of McDonald Elementary School.
