TO CONGRATULATE BRAD CARRIGG OF THE BLYTHEWOOD TELECOMMUNICATIONS CENTER FOR BEING NAMED THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY'S 2017 TELECOMMUNICATIONS OPERATOR OF THE YEAR AND TO HONOR AND RECOGNIZE HIS DEDICATED PUBLIC SERVICE TO THE PEOPLE AND THE STATE OF SOUTH CAROLINA.
Whereas, the members of the South Carolina Senate are pleased to recognize Brad Carrigg for being named the 2017 Telecommunications Operator of the Year; and
Whereas, as a telecommunications operator, Mr. Carrigg serves as a vital link between South Carolina Highway Patrol troopers and the public; and
Whereas, Mr. Carrigg was recognized for the outstanding work he does each day to support troopers and other law enforcement, as well as the motoring public; and
Whereas, Mr. Carrigg was also honored for the professional way in which he assisted troopers during a pursuit of suspects who had just committed a robbery and were wanted for forty robberies in the Southeast; and
Whereas, the members of the South Carolina Senate are grateful for the dedication and commitment that Brad Carrigg has shown in his tireless efforts to serve the State of South Carolina. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the Senate:
That the members of the South Carolina Senate, by this resolution, congratulate Brad Carrigg of the Blythewood Telecommunications Center for being named the Department of Public Safety's 2017 Telecommunications Operator of the Year and to honor and recognize his dedicated public service to the people and the State of South Carolina.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be presented to Brad Carrigg.
